Tracking rounds of storms, significant rainfall next several days

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and cool. Few showers by morning. Lows in the upper 40s to around 50.

TOMORROW: Scattered shower and thunderstorms, getting warmer. Highs in the mid-upper 60s.

EXTENDED: A warm front will move north across Mid-Missouri on Wednesday, bringing in warmer, more unstable air across the region. Temperatures rise back into the 70s by Thursday before the associated cold front moves in. Ingredients for strong storms will be in place, with the threat of large hail and damaging winds by afternoon and evening. We'll also be monitoring for the threat of flooding as the front stays nearly stationary through the weekend. Showers and storms are possible through early Sunday, leaving us with about 2" of rainfall. A few areas may see locally higher amounts with thunderstorms. We finally get a break from rain on Sunday evening, with warm temperatures continuing into early next week.
