Tracking rain and storms most of this week

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds with a chance of showers along and south of I-70. Lows in the lower 40s.

TOMORROW: Showers likely mainly south of I-70. Chilly, with highs in the mid-50s.

EXTENDED: An active pattern is setting up for this week as we return to a southwesterly upper level flow. Rain chances will increase with several disturbances heading our way through the week, with thunderstorms possible starting Wednesday. We'll see a gradual warm up with temperatures back into the upper 60s Wednesday, and into the 70s by Thursday. Stronger thunderstorms are possible Thursday into Friday as a cold front clashes with a more favorable environment. Temperatures remain slightly warmer than average through the weekend, with highs in the mid-upper 70s and rain chances through Sunday. Rainfall totals for the week will range between 2" and 2.5".
