Tracking showers today, storms tomorrow
MONDAY: Showers will largely be a morning problem to dodge. There is some data suggesting we may need the umbrella this afternoon as well, with highs reaching toward 70. Those that don't get in on the second round this afternoon will be left with a mix of sun and clouds. All of us will see some breezy southerly winds, however.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy and mild overnight with lows falling into the middle 50's.
EXTENDED: A cold front will approach the area tomorrow that will move into warm, unstable air in place. That will lead to storms by the afternoon which could be strong to severe. Large hail, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado are all possible so stay weather alert tomorrow and have ways to receive warnings. For the latest details on timing and trends head over to the Stormtrack Insider Blog. Wednesday will be noticeably cooler with highs in the low 60's as rain moves east. We keep the quiet trend going through Friday with highs getting back into the mid to upper 60's Thursday, and low to mid 70's Friday. Rain chances look to make a return to the forecast by this weekend.
