Rain dwindles for our Saturday

TODAY: We'll see a dreary start to our weekend, but there is light at the end of the tunnel....literally. Rain will continue through the morning, and for the western half of mid-Missouri, it will clear out by lunchtime. Our eastern counties, however, could see rain sticking around until the late afternoon. Late this evening, clouds will start to break up. It's going to be a little cool today, with temperatures struggling to warm past the lower 60s.

TONIGHT: Clouds will continue to break apart, and things will start to dry out. Lows will be in the mid 40s.

EXTENDED: Sunday will be the more comfortable day of the weekend with lots of sunshine and temperatures warming back into the mid 60s. This week is shaping up to be decent with minimal rain chances and fair temperatures. Our only sizable chance for rain at the moment falls on Tuesday, and we could see a few thunderstorms rumble through the area when all is said and done. Luckily, these storms are showing no signs of being severe for the time being. After that system moves through, temperatures will hold steady in the upper 60s to lower 70s for the remainder of the week.
