Tracking the return of rain later today

rain returns

WEDNESDAY: The day will start off dry with clouds ramping back up early on. Rain looks to return by the lunch hour around much of the area and will stick with us for the rest of it. Could mix in a rumble of thunder or two with some of the heaviest rain south of I-70. Highs will still get into the middle 60's thanks to a stout southerly wind. Some gusts could reach up near 25 mph.

TONIGHT: Showers stick around through the night. Overnight lows fall into the low 50's.

EXTENDED: Rain departs early on Thursday with sunshine attempting to make a return by the afternoon. Temperatures will make it into the upper 60's with some threatening 70 if we can get some sun. Rain returns on Friday, but appears to be slightly more scattered in coverage. Same applies to this round with a few rumbles of thunder possible, but nothing severe. Rain looks to hold on east of HWY 63 into Saturday morning before sliding east, but it will be a cool day with highs in the upper 50's. A steady northwesterly breeze won't help matters with gusts up around 25 mph. More rain chances look possible Sunday but at least appear light, with another system moving in next week.
