Tracking rain and a few thunderstorms Wednesday

TONIGHT: Mostly clear to partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 40s.

WEDNESDAY: Showers and a few thunderstorms likely by mid-late afternoon. Rain amounts between 0.5" and 1". Highs in the low to mid-60s.

EXTENDED: Rain clears out early Thursday, leaving us with lingering clouds and warmer temperatures approaching 70 degrees. Another front begins to approach early on Friday, increasing the chance for more widespread rain and a few thunderstorms. The severe weather risk for this week looks low. An additional 1-1.5" of rain is possible through early Saturday. Behind the front, we're in for a slightly cooler weekend with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s on Saturday. Sunday is brighter and a bit warmer, with highs in the low 60s. Next week remains mild with another storm system moving in early in the week.
