Tracking showers overnight, light dusting of snow north

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with showers likely overnight. Lows in the upper 30s. A light dusting of snow is possible for areas along and north of Highway 36.

FRIDAY: Morning showers and/or flurries, followed by mostly cloudy skies. Highs in the upper 40s.

EXTENDED: Once this system slides east, high pressure builds in from the north late on Friday into Saturday. Sinking air will allow clouds to clear out and temperatures to drop Saturday morning, getting us down to near freezing. Frost is likely to start the weekend, but we warm back up to near 60 for Saturday afternoon. By Saturday night, a quick disturbance slides by to our south, bringing a chance for showers overnight into early Sunday. Despite that, we still manage to make the mid-60s for highs on Sunday, and continue the warm trend into next week. By mid-late week, the upper level pattern begins to shift more southwesterly, increasing our chances for rain and storms. Highs remain in the 60s to around 70.
