Rainy Thursday ahead, chance for snow Friday morning

THIS AFTERNOON: Mostly sunny skies this afternoon will feature an increase in clouds by evening. Temperatures rise into the upper 40s and low 50s.

TONIGHT: A spot sprinkle is possible, but will be tough to come by this evening. Better chance will be closer to midnight and into the early morning as lows drop into the middle 30's.

EXTENDED: We're saving the more widespread coverage for the daylight hours on Thursday with a cold rain coming down off and on throughout the day. Highs will top out in the upper 40's and low 50's. We hang onto those rain chances into Thursday night, and could mix in enough cold air that some folks north of I-70 see a few snowflakes. Any accumulations look light and stay north of HWY 24. What will be cold showers Friday will taper off by the afternoon with highs stuck in the 40's. Improvements are right around the corner into the weekend. Saturday looks to feature sunshine and temperatures topping out near 60, with Sunday getting into the middle 60's. That nice weather has a good chance at sticking around to start out next week.
