Hard freeze likely with frost developing overnight

TONIGHT: Winds diminish and skies clear, allowing frost to develop. A Freeze Warning is in effect for much of the area through 9AM Friday. Lows near 30.

FRIDAY: Patchy frost early, mostly sunny. Highs in the mid-50s.

EXTENDED: A warm front lifts north across Missouri on Saturday, bringing temperatures back into the 60s with chances for scattered showers. The associated cold front arrives on Sunday, bringing more widespread showers and thunderstorms. Significantly cooler air moves in behind the front, allowing any remaining precipitation to change over to snow. No accumulation is expected with late Sunday evening flurries. Next week starts off largely dry, but temperatures will be almost 20 degrees cooler than normal with highs in the 40s and lows in the low 30s.
