Authorities cancel Amber Alert after baby reported abducted Saturday night
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
UPDATE 9:56 P.M.: Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop F spokesman Sgt. Scott White said a person involved in the abduction was taken into custody.
UPDATE 9:45 P.M: State troopers canceled the Amber Alert at 9:42 p.m. Saturday.
The highway patrol website shows the child was found safely. Troopers say the vehicle that was reported stolen was located at a business in Ashland.
It's unclear as of posting if any arrests were made.
ORIGINAL: An Amber Alert was called Saturday night for an SUV last seen in Columbia.
According to the alert, Columbia police officers are searching for a silver 2017 Chevy Equinox. The alert shows the vehicle has a Missouri license plate showing KK1E6U.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol website shows law enforcement officers are looking for a woman in her twenties. The website said 14-day-old Raheem Bigham was reported missing from an address on South Providence Road around 8:40 p.m.
Troopers say the woman is suspected of stealing the SUV from a liquor store and Bigham was inside the vehicle.
The website said the woman and Bigham were last seen on Interstate 70 westbound.
