Mizzou soccer forward Rylie Morse named to SEC All-Freshman Team

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The season may be over, but the Tigers are still being noticed by the league. Rylie Morse was one of 12 rookies named to the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team.

Morse led the Tigers in points, assists, shots, and was tied at the top for goals. She becomes the seventh Mizzou player to be named to the SEC All-Freshman Team, and the first since 2022.

Her season was highlighted in a must-win game against Texas A&M, where she punched in a tying goal heading into the half against the Aggies with the final touch of the frame. Morse would follow it up assisting the eventual game winner, securing her fourth multi-point performance of the year.

For that showing, she earned conference player of the week honors, becoming just the fifth Tiger to ever receive that recognition. She was also the second freshman in the league to win that award in the past four seasons.
