Tracking clouds rolling in ahead of weekend rain chances

THIS AFTERNOON: Partly to mostly sunny, with warm temperatures in the upper 70s.

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds, with a low chance of scattered showers after midnight. Lows fall to the upper 50s.

EXTENDED: Chances for showers increase into Friday, but a lot of dry time is still expected. Rain continues to fill in by Friday night into Saturday, making for a wet Halloween for many. Totals will be below a quarter inch for most, so don't cancel your trick-or-treating plans; just have an extra umbrella ready. On-and-off rain winds down Saturday night, but clouds stick around through Sunday, keeping temperatures in the low 70s. Heavier rain and storms will be possible by early next week, kicking off an active start to November.
