Tracking mostly dry and warm weather with a few sprinkles

TODAY: Tuesday brings more clouds, a chance of sprinkles, and a slightly cooler day. Overall, it's still warm and effectively dry. An increase in moisture at the top of the atmosphere will increase cloud cover through the day. Drier air near the surface will likely keep any rain chance to sprinkles. High temperatures remain warm, in the low 70s.

TONIGHT: Clouds break apart overnight, but we remain partly cloudy to mostly clear.

EXTENDED: A few sprinkles remain possible on Wednesday morning. Skies clear in the afternoon, and with a south wind, temperatures climb to near 80. Highs are forecast near 80 again on Thursday, but clouds and rain chances increase again on Friday. A cold front sliding in from the north on Thursday will stall overhead on Friday. This leaves us with a chance for a few showers. An area of low pressure may move in from the southwest along this frontal boundary. This would bring a chance for scattered showers on Halloween, potentially through the evening hours. Have a plan for rain during trick-or-treat hours. Rain chances fall on Sunday, but remain into next week, when we expect another system to increase chances by Monday. Warm air remains through the forecast, with highs over the weekend generally ranging from the low to high 70s.
