Tracking a dry and warm week ahead

TODAY: Monday is another warm and dry day. High clouds will make for a milky blue to somewhat gray sky, but the sun will still be bright, so grab those sunglasses. Highs are expected in the upper 70s with a light south wind.

TONIGHT: Lows remain in the low 50s at sunrise Tuesday. Clouds remain, but dry weather is expected.

EXTENDED: Tuesday is expected to be a near carbon copy of Monday, with high clouds and highs in the 70s amid a south breeze. Some increase in clouds and a few sprinkles may be possible Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, but no meaningful rain is forecast. Skies likely clear with time on Wednesday. Dry weather remains the forecast for most on Thursday, but a cold front to our north may bring showers to some from Marshall to Brunswick and Macon. Shower chances tick up for the rest of us Friday through Sunday, as we track an upper-level wave crossing the region. This focuses the highest rain chance on Saturday, which is also Halloween, but with some dry air in the forecast, rain may be sparse and light. There is still hope for dry time during trick-or-treat hours. Temperatures are forecast in the upper 70s all week, with the exception of Thursday and Friday, which may near 80 as our warmest days in the forecast.
