Tracking more mild weather midweek

THIS MORNING: Chilly, but warming fast, with early morning lows in the upper 40s and low 50s. Temperatures jump to the upper 60s by late morning.

TODAY: Mostly sunny and mild, with highs in the mid-70s.

EXTENDED: Quiet and clear conditions persist through the weekend, and temperatures climb further to the upper 70s, possibly closer to 80 on Saturday and Sunday. Our next rain chances may finally arrive early next week on Tuesday as a weakening front moves in from the north; however, forecasts vary widely on how much rain and relief we'll see by the middle of next week. A cooldown to the 60s is possible for much of the week leading up to Halloween, though.
