Tracking more clouds this afternoon

THIS AFTERNOON: Mostly sunny to the west, and mostly cloudy to the east. Highs range from the mid-70s where we see sunshine, to the upper 60s under clouds.

TONIGHT: Clouds remain stubborn for some, with lows falling to the low 60s to upper 50s.

EXTENDED: Cloudy and cool conditions continue through the end of the week, with highs stuck in the lower 70s through Friday. Rain chances will return over the weekend, with our first light showers arriving by Friday night. Showers continue through Saturday mainly north of I-70, where around a half inch of rain is possible. Spotty rain lasts through early Sunday before tapering off, with temperatures warming to the mid-70s as rain exits. Southerly winds will drive a warmup to the low 80s for some of us early next week, but a cold front by Tuesday and Wednesday will cool things down again.
