Tracking a cool night with more sunshine Wednesday

TONIGHT: Gradual clearing and cool with lows in the lower to mid-50s.

TOMORROW: Partly to mostly sunny and warmer with highs in the mid-70s.

EXTENDED: We'll finally gradually clear out overnight, with lows falling into the 50s by morning. We're back into the mid-70s tomorrow afternoon with more sunshine, and Thursday and Friday are looking similar as high pressure slowly dives south over the region. By the end of the week, a ridge begins to build to our south, allowing winds to shift and temperatures to rise into the 80s by the end of the weekend. At the same time, a disturbance swings through to our north, dragging a slow moving cold front through the region over the weekend, bringing at least scattered showers starting Friday night and continuing off and on through early next week. Temperatures warm back above average next week as we reach the low to mid-80s.
