Mizzou volleyball sweeps Wichita State

The Tiger volleyball team grabbed its second-straight win of the Mizzou Tournament, on Saturday, sweeping Wichita State in three sets (25-19, 25-13, 25-18).

Mizzou beat out the Shockers in just about every statistical category, as MU improved to 5-2 on the season.

Head coach Dawn Sullivan's team was led by Paige Felder and Grace O'Rielly, who each tallied a team-high nine kills on the night. Hitter Kimani Johnson was right behind them with seven of her own.

Mizzou out-hit Wichita State .386 to .167 and recorded 10 blocks to the Shockers' two.

Up next - Coach Sullivan and company will wrap up the Mizzou Tournament with a game against Florida Gulf Coast on Sunday, Sept. 13. First serve is at 12 p.m. at the Hearnes Center.
