Tracking scattered showers overnight, rain chances throughout the week

TONIGHT: Scattered showers and storms are possible overnight (50%), primarily to areas west of Highway 63. Eastern counties look to stay dry, as clouds build in overnight. Lows drop to the mid 60s.

TOMORROW: Showers are expected to continue into the morning hours tomorrow, still remaining towards the west. Showers that do push east of Highway 63 will mostly be isolated in our southern counties. Some dry time is anticipated in the afternoon, with storm chances returning overnight. When there is a break from the rain, expect partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 80s.

EXTENDED: The best chances for rainfall on Monday look to be in the early morning hours, with a 40% chance for scattered storms, mainly north of I-70. Showers do look to clear out by the afternoon, providing a mostly sunny day in their wake, with temps rising towards the mid to upper 80s. A chance of rain does exist each day this week, steadily increasing from 20 percent Tuesday to 40 percent on Thursday, but there's been little consensus on timing and amounts thus far. Rain chances do look to taper on Friday into next weekend. We'll still see plenty of dry time throughout the week, with temps in the low 90s Tuesday and Wednesday, dropping back into the mid to low 80s for Thursday towards the weekend. Clouds will steadily build throughout the week, so the best chances for sunshine look to be Monday and Tuesday.
