Tracking heat and humidity gradually returning through the weekend

TODAY: I'm tracking a warm but seasonably cooler-than-average afternoon as temperatures top out in the low 80s. Plenty of sunshine is expected throughout the day as winds gradually shift into the east and southeast at 4-8 mph.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking a few upper-level clouds moving into the area overnight, but otherwise, quiet conditions can be expected. Temperatures will drop into the low 60s by the end of the night as winds blow out of the southeast at 5-10 mph, gusting up to 15 mph.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking broken upper-level clouds continuing throughout the afternoon hours of Saturday as southerly winds continue to usher in warmer air and higher amounts of moisture. Temperatures will reach into the upper 80s tomorrow, then get back into the low 90s by Sunday afternoon. Higher amounts of moisture may be making it feel like it is in the mid to upper 90s this weekend, and this trend will hold throughout the start of next week. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, highs in the mid-90s with mostly sunny conditions are expected, and although it will be hot, humidity will be staying low enough that extreme heat index values will be avoided. This trend will be hard to break, as it is expected to hold into the following weekend.
