Missouri Sports Hall of Fame announces 2026 class

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Mizzou's 1994 Men's Basketball team headlined the newest class of local sporting legends to be induced to the Hall of Fame. The class of 20 coaches, athletes, and teams was announced on Wednesday morning, and will be enshrined in October.

Norm Stewart's '94 squad was the second and most recent Tiger team to reach the Elite Eight. They won the Big Eight regular season title, finishing with an undefeated 14-0 record in conference play. The Tigers received the No. 1 seed in the West region of the NCAA Tournament, sweeping the competition until being upset by Arizona and falling a single game short of the Final Four.

Team members included, Melvin Booker, Jevon Crudup, Jason Sutherland, Derek Grimm, Paul O'Liney, Julian Winfield, Mark Atkins, Derek Dunham, Marlo Finner, Lamont Frazier, Jed Frost, Chris Heller, Derrick Johnson, Reggie Smith, Kelly Thames, and Chip Walther.

The enshrinement ceremony is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 25.
