Tracking isolated storm chances, cooler weather to start the week

TONIGHT: Muggy with isolated shower chances increasing into the overnight hours. Low temps in the mid 70s.

TOMORROW: The Weather Alert Day will finally come to an end starting tomorrow, as while temperatures remain hot, a cooling trend drops them out of extreme range. Highs look to be in the upper 80s, with heat indexes on the fringe of the 100 degree mark. The cooler air helps increase chances for isolated scattered showers and storms tomorrow (30%).

EXTENDED: Scattered storm chances continue until early Monday morning, but there will be plenty of dry time to start the week, beginning Monday afternoon. Temps finally cool toward the mid 80s with a good amount of sunshine, though we'll see increasing clouds throughout the week. Our next active weather pattern moves in by Thursday, but Wednesday will carry a slight chance for storms. Thursday looks to be our best chance for rain this week, but while showers could linger into Friday morning, the weekend is looking dry. Expect temperatures to stay much more tolerable, around the mid to low 80s this week.
