Driver, baby saved during Howard County water rescue

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

An adult and a baby were saved by first responders after a vehicle got stuck in floodwaters in Howard County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote on its social media that a vehicle stalled at 1:33 a.m. on Route Z between Boonseboro and Boonville.

“Thankfully, firefighters with Howard County Fire Station 2 were able to safely rescue the driver and her one year old child,” the post says.

Several water rescues were reported throughout the day as heavy rainfall hit Mid-Missouri.
