COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

No injuries were reported after storms caused a fire at a Columbia apartment complex on Thursday morning.

According to a Facebook post from the Columbia Fire Department, firefighters were called to 2012 W Ash St., Courtyard Apartments, for reports of a fire.

ABC 17 News saw around four fire trucks, two command units and an MU Health Care Ambulance. Firefighters were seen using a ladder truck to inspect smoke coming from the top of one of the apartment units.

The post states the fire was from a power loss, which was caused by the ongoing storms rolling through mid-Missouri.

Damage was limited to an electrical motor.
