COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Two 13-year-old girls were seriously injured in a UTV crash on Wednesday afternoon on Warren School Road in Miller County, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The report says the two girls were in a 2013 Polaris Ranger that was heading southbound when it went off the left side of the road, went up an embankment, hit a tree and overturned.

Neither girl utilized a safety device, the report says. Both girls were brought to Lake Regional Hospital with serious injuries. A girl from Brumley drove the vehicle, while a Lake Ozark youth was an occupant, the report says.

The UTV had minor damage. MSHP reports do not name those involved in crashes.
