COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A woman was seriously injured in a crash on Wednesday afternoon on Highway 24 about three miles east of Moberly, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The report says a 35-year-old woman from Madison, Missouri, tried to avoid a tractor while heading eastbound. Her 2013 Chevrolet Impala went off the left side of the road and hit an embankment, the report says.

The driver was brought to University Hospital in Columba. The report says she wore a seatbelt. The vehicle was totaled.

MSHP reports do not name those involved in crashes.
