Tracking dry and cool air before end of week rain chances

TODAY: Wednesday feels much drier, with dew points starting the day in the 60s, compared to Tuesday's 70s. This dry air may feel even drier this afternoon, as we expect dew points to fall into the 50s. Highs remain much cooler today as well, in the low 80s. Sunny skies and a light north breeze will make for a great day to get out.

TONIGHT: Temperatures fall into the low 60s overnight, with clear skies and continued light winds from the north and northeast.

EXTENDED: Thursday is likely a degree or two cooler, but still sunny. Clouds return late Thursday into Friday, ahead of rain chances. Scattered showers look to arrive by noon, if not during the morning commute, as we are tracking an upper-level disturbance rolling in from the northwest. This will lead to a chance for thunderstorms later in the day on Friday, but it's uncertain how long this rain chance will linger. Expectations are somewhat split between rain clearing to the south on Friday evening and another scenario that keeps thunderstorms stalled late Friday into Saturday morning. This could start the weekend on a wet note, but we expect most of Saturday to remain dry. Warmer temperatures are likely to return, with heat index values looking hot again by Sunday and Monday.
