Tracking lesser rain chances and greater heat into the weekend.

TODAY: Friday is partly cloudy with a chance for isolated storms this afternoon. Temperatures are expected to reach the upper 80s with less rain coverage than on Thursday. Winds are light from the southwest.

TONIGHT: Any shower or storm that develops today will dry up at sunset, leaving us dry and mostly clear overnight.

EXTENDED: Saturday starts warm, in the low 70s. Partly cloudy skies and mostly dry conditions are expected, but we may get an isolated storm or two during the day. Saturday night, a weak cold front will drift in from the north, which may bring a few showers overnight. This doesn't cool us at all, as Friday through Sunday will feel like the mid-90s. Mostly dry conditions are forecast Sunday through next week, with high temperatures in the 90s on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. Monday will be the hottest, with a high of near 94 and a heat index near 100 degrees.
