One person taken into custody after vehicle crashes into Columbia building

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The side of a building was damaged after a vehicle crashed into it early Thursday morning.

According to a spokesperson for the Columbia Police Department, the crash happened just before 2 a.m. in the 100 block of W. Ash St.

One person was taken into custody. The charges the person was arrested on suspicion of are unknown at this time. The name and age of the suspect are unknown at this time.

EMS responded to the crash, but did not take anyone to the hospital, according to Columbia Police.
