Tracking persistent sunshine returning with warmer weather to follow

TODAY: I'm tracking fog and lingering showers throughout the morning hours before Mid-Missouri gradually dries up near lunchtime. Temperatures walking out the door will begin in the low 70s, warming into the low 80s by the afternoon hours as sunshine begins to return. Winds will be out of the north at 5-10 mph, gusting up to 15 mph.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking a mostly clear and quiet evening as temperatures drop back down into the upper 60s by the end of the night. Winds will continue to blow out of the north at 5-10 mph.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking a sunny and quiet Sunday as temperatures warm back up into the mid-80s. This is setting up for a mostly dry and sunny week, except for isolated storm chances on both Tuesday and Wednesday. High pressure will be the thing keeping most activity at bay, which means warmer weather can be expected. Temperatures each morning next week will begin in the upper 60s and low 70s, warming into the upper 80s and low 90s by the afternoon hours. Humidity will be making it feel warmer, but luckily, extreme heat is not expected during this timeframe.
