Tracking a chance for strong storms this evening

TODAY: Thursday is an ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day as we have a chance for storms this morning, and again this evening. Temperatures are expected in the upper 80s despite a chance for showers and storms in the morning. Temperatures will likely recover just ahead of a round of storms from 3 p.m to midnight. This will be our best chance for severe storms.

TONIGHT: Showers may persist in the south tonight, but for others, after rain clears, dry weather persists through sunrise. Temperatures may remain above 70 degrees through sunrise on Friday.

EXTENDED: More storms, with a limited severe threat, are possible on Friday. Isolated storms may bring a threat of hail or gusty winds. There is low certainty as to whether or not we can expect dry conditions on Saturday. As moisture and rain chances slowly drop south, we'll have some chance for showers and storms on Saturday. Dry weather is forecast Sunday through the middle of next week.
