COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

One lane of eastbound Interstate 70 and an eastbound off-ramp will be closed Wednesday for emergency repairs, the Missouri Department of Transportation said in a news release.

Contractors will close the ramp from eastbound I-70 to Providence Road in Columbia starting at about 10 a.m. The closure will last through early Thursday, according to the release.

The westbound ramp from Providence Road to Interstate 70 will not close overnight as previously scheduled, MoDOT said.

Crews are working to replace the Providence Road bridge over I-70 as part of the ongoing expansion and improvement of the interstate.
