Tracking the return of rainfall Wednesday, Thursday

QUIET DAY

ST. PATRICKS DAY: After a gloomy start, mostly cloudy skies stick around this afternoon as highs reach the low to mid 50's.

TONIGHT: Rain chances return, but will hold off until after midnight. Lows back up into the mid to upper 40's.

EXTENDED: Showers will dampen spirits out the door Wednesday, with some moderate to at times heavy rain possible. This disturbance looks to move through fairly quick, and leave us dry by the afternoon with highs in the low 60's. Our next chance for storms is right around the corner, however. They'll get going out west and push in early on Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms look likely thoughout the morning, with a strong cell or two possible. That activity becomes more scattered into the afternoon as highs reach the upper 60's. Cooler air charges in to change things up on Friday with highs in the 40's going into the weekend.
