Renegades start week with win over War Dogs

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Renegade bats came alive in an 11-1 win over the U.S. War Dogs, on Monday night.

After the War Dogs took a one-run lead out of the gates, Jefferson City responded with a three-run frame in the bottom of the first to take the lead and never look back. JC ended up with 11 runs on 11 hits in Monday night's victory, as Alex DiGiacinto led the attack at the dish. He ended up going 5-for-6 at the palate with a team-best four RBI.

In addition to DiGiacinto, Conner Flieg, Gavin Poindexter, Frandie Fernandez and Chance Rose all brought runners across the plate.

Up next - head coach Justin Buschjost and his squad will host the Sedalia Steamers on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
