After landing a pair of big-time commitments on Monday, Mizzou football now has one of the Top-25 2027 recruiting classes in the nation, according to 247Sports.

Head coach Eli Drinkwitz locked down commitments from a pair of four-star in-state talents, beginning with four-star interior offensive lineman Kyler Kuhn and quickly followed up by four-star running back Kingston Miles.

With those commitments, the Tigers' Class of 2027 is now up to 18 commitments, including six out of the state's top eight best prospects.

Coach Drinkwitz started the day by landing Kuhn, who chose MU over offers from Nebraska, Iowa and a slew of other Power-4 programs.

The Kansas City native is regarded as the No. 5 player in the state of Missouri and the No. 14 prospect at his position, by 247Sports. His commitment now gives Coach Drinkwitz the 28th-best recruiting class in the nation 9th-best in the Southeastern Conference.

The St. Pius X star is the sixth sixth offensive lineman to join the Tigers in 2027 and the third interior lineman.

Kuhn's commitment was quickly followed up by a big announcement from Miles, who had previously committed to Auburn, after an official visit, on June 1.

Miles, a St. Louis native, is coming off of a junior season where he rushed from more than 2,000 yards for St. Mary's. He tallied 26 touchdowns and added on 236 receiving yards. The 6-foot, 190-pound talent is joining the St. Mary's to Columbia pipeline, as current running back Jamal Roberts and former wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. also graduated from the STL private school.

The running back is regarded as the No. 6 overall player in the state of Missouri and the No. 18 player at his position in the nation, according to 247Sports.

Ever since he took the reins at Mizzou, Drinkwitz has put a big emphasis on locking down the borders of the state. He's managed to do so in this 2027 class, as Kuhn and Miles now bring the total of in-state prospects in this class up to six. They join four-star tight end Jack Brown, who is the top prospect in the state, as well as four-star athlete Chris Harris Jr., four-star linebacker Kobe Rhymes and three-star safety Kerian Govan.
