Flood Warning issued June 10 at 11:58PM CDT until June 12 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has
issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri…

Chariton River at Novinger affecting Macon, Schuyler, Adair and
Putnam Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Chariton River at Novinger.

* WHEN…From Thursday morning to Friday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 20.0 feet, Farm fields along the river begin to flood.
At 23.0 feet, Moderate flooding of farmland occurs.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 11:45 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 15.1 feet.
– Forecast…The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow morning to a crest of 22.4 feet early tomorrow
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow
evening.
– Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
