Flood Warning issued June 1 at 8:52AM CDT until June 1 at 8:45PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

* WHAT…Flooding caused by earlier excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE…Howard County in central Missouri…
Northeastern Saline County in central Missouri…
Southeastern Chariton County in north central Missouri…
Southwestern Randolph County in north central Missouri…

* WHEN…Until 845 PM CDT Monday.

* IMPACTS…Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 846 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated between 2 and 5 inches of
rain fell across the area overnight. Flooding is ongoing in the
warned area. Numerous roads are reported closed due to flooding
across Howard County. Additional roads are likely flooded across
the remainder of the warned area.
– Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected. This warning replaces the flash flood warning that
expires at 9 am.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Fayette, Salisbury, Glasgow, New Franklin, Keytesville,
Armstrong, Franklin and Dalton.

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
