Houston man seriously hurt in semi-truck crash in Pettis County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 35-year-old Houston, Texas, man was seriously hurt after a semi-truck crash in Pettis County just after 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.

According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the man was driving a 2025 Kenworth Tractor Trailer east on Route D, east of McGruder Road, when the semi ran off the road, overturned and hit a mailbox.

The man was taken to University Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

It is unknown if the man was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, according to the report. The semi-truck was totaled.
