COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Tuesday marks 100 days until Mizzou football coach Eli Drinkwitz and his team kick off the 2026 season.

Of course, all eyes will be on the unveiling of MU's new $250 million north end zone, which will be ready for the season opener against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Thursday, Sept. 3. However, the 2026 campaign will also commemorate 100 years of Memorial Stadium, which was built in 1962.

On Tuesday, Tiger Athletics announced that Mizzou's Sept. 19 matchup against Troy in Week 3 will serve as the official 100th Anniversary Game for Memorial Stadium's centennial milestone.

There will be more details about the game in the coming months, however fans can expect to see special recognitions, commemorative moments and fan activities at the celebration. Mizzou does plan to honor its centennial anniversary throughout the season and will be coming out with some new commemorative memorabilia and exclusive merchandise.

Mizzou's landmark season will open up on Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. against Arkansas-Pine Bluff in the program's fifth-straight Thursday night kickoff.
