Tracking seasonable temperatures and spotty rain chances

THIS AFTERNOON: Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible to the southeast, mainly across I-44 and up to Hermann, Jefferson City, and Osage Beach. Conditions are drier north of I-70, and temperatures will be warm in the upper 70s to low 80s.

TONIGHT: Showers dwindle overnight, with temperatures gradually falling to the low 60s. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

EXTENDED: Low rain chances continue almost every day through Saturday, mostly south of I-70, but there will be plenty of dry time. Rain totals by the weekend may reach half an inch across the Lake of the Ozarks and I-44, with a sharp cutoff to the north. Temperatures remain in the 80s to upper 70s where spotty rain falls, and we look to stay in the 80s for a while, possibly through all of next week.
