Tracking another chance for showers and storms before a dry Memorial Day

TODAY: I'm tracking a dry start to the day with peaks of sunshine as temperatures begin in the upper 50s and low 60s. Throughout the afternoon hours, there will be an increasing potential to run into showers and storms, but no severe weather is expected as temperatures warm into the upper 70s. Winds will be out of the southwest at 5-10 mph.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking showers and storms exiting during the evening hours, and with that, cloud cover is expected to gradually decrease as well. Temperatures by the end of the night will drop into the upper 50s as winds shift into the north at 5-10 mph.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking dry weather with a mix of clouds and sun throughout Sunday and Monday of Memorial Day weekend, with temperatures getting up into the upper 70s and low 80s each afternoon. This drier pattern does not last long, as the chance for scattered showers enters the forecast by Tuesday. This will start the trend of daily rain and storm chances throughout the rest of next week. With this, warmer weather will persist, as temperatures each afternoon will get up into the low to mid-80s.
