Multiple Mid-Missouri athletes bring home hardware at day one of MSHSAA Track & Field Championships

Day one of the the 100th edition of the MSHSAA Track and Field Championships are a wrap out at Adkins Stadium, in Jefferson City, and multiple Mid-Missouri athletes came away with some hardware.

The two-weekend event got kicked off on Friday, as schools in class one through three competed to find the top steps on the podium.

Mid-Missouri came away with five gold medal finishes in day one. You can find a full list of the athletes, who finished in first place, below.

  • Blair Oaks' Tomas Gonzalez - Class 3 Boys' Pole Vault
  • Fayette's Carter Vroman - Class 2 Boys' Discus
  • Fayette's Rylan Roberts - Class 2 Girls' Long Jump
  • Vienna's Aubrey Schwartze - Class 1 Girls' Shot Put
  • Fatima's Brie Massman - Class 3 Girls' 800m

The action will continue on Saturday, as more local stars look to hit the podium.
