Flood Warning issued May 19 at 12:13PM CDT until May 25 at 1:00PM CDT by NWS St Louis MO

…The National Weather Service in St Louis has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Missouri…

Missouri River near Chamois.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Missouri River near Chamois.

* WHEN…From Thursday morning to Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS…At 17.0 feet, Flood Stage: Lower lying bottom land
begins to flood.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 7:40 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 8.7 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise to 15.8 feet tomorrow morning. It
will then fall to 15.7 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will
rise above flood stage Thursday morning to 18.5 feet early
Saturday morning. It will then fall below flood stage early
Sunday morning.
– Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even
higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor this
developing situation and issue follow up statements as conditions
change.
