Tracking showers through tonight, cooler temperatures midweek

THIS AFTERNOON: Scattered to widespread rain, with a few rumbles of thunder possible. Temperatures remain mild in the 60s.

TONIGHT: Spotty showers continue overnight, with cooler temperatures in the 50s. Another quarter inch of rain is expected.

EXTENDED: We'll get a break from rain chances midweek, and some afternoon sunshine on Wednesday with mild temperatures in the upper 60s. Thursday also starts dry, but rain chances will increase late Thursday, and widespread showers are expected to last through Friday. We may see a few more rounds of rain over the Memorial Day weekend, but there will also be dry time, and temperatures will climb from the upper 70s to low 80s between Saturday and Monday.
