Flood Warning issued May 18 at 10:53AM CDT until May 20 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO

…The National Weather Service in Kansas City/Pleasant Hill has
issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Missouri…

Chariton River at Novinger affecting Adair, Macon, Schuyler and
Putnam Counties.

* WHAT…Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE…Chariton River at Novinger.

* WHEN…From Tuesday morning to Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS…At 20.0 feet, Farm fields along the river begin to flood.
At 23.0 feet, Moderate flooding of farmland occurs.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 9:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 7.6 feet.
– Bankfull stage is 20.0 feet.
– Forecast…The river will rise above flood stage tomorrow morning
to 22.7 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below
flood stage tomorrow evening to 11.7 feet early Wednesday
morning.
– Flood stage is 20.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
