Tracking more warmth and sunshine ahead of a shower and storm chance Tuesday night

TODAY: Tuesday is mostly sunny and mostly dry. High temperatures are forecast near 80° thanks to southwest winds around 10-15 mph, gusting to 20 at times.

TONIGHT: Some showers and storms are possible this evening along a cold front. If a storm can develop, a severe storm capable of damaging wind and hail cannot be ruled out. However, it looks increasingly unlikely that storms will develop. It is expected that activity this evening will be confined to showers across the region. Timing of showers will be from 6 p.m. in the north to 12 a.m. in the south.

EXTENDED: Wednesday is a bit milder with a return to northerly wind, keeping highs in the 70s. Wednesday and Thursday are dry and bright, with sunny to partly cloudy skies. Rain chances return Friday morning, as thunderstorms are possible. More Thunderstorms are possible through the weekend, as humidity and warmth build. Highs are expected in the 80s to near 90°.
