Climax Springs man seriously injured in Benton County crash

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 31-year-old Climax Springs man was flown to University Hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Benton County Wednesday night.

According to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the man was a passenger in a 1997 GMC on Hastain Ave., south of Mulholland Road, around 8:15 p.m., when the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a tree.

The driver, a 47-year-old man from Trout Springs, Montana, was not hurt in the crash, according to the report.

The report states the man was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
