Tracking a gray and cool Wednesday before a weekend warmup

TODAY: Wednesday starts with chances for showers in the early morning, before skies dry up while remaining mostly cloudy through the day. Temperatures remain in the 50s with winds from the north at 5-10 mph.

TONIGHT: Temperatures fall into the low 40s overnight, as skies clear out.

EXTENDED: Sunshine and south winds return highs to the 60s on Thursday, and 70s on Friday. Some afternoon and evening showers and weak thunderstorm chances return on Friday. Saturday starts dry, and temperatures reach the upper 70s by the afternoon. This comes ahead of another rain chance Saturday night into Sunday morning. We are likely drying up by the afternoon on Mother's Day. Highs on Sunday are forecast in the 70s.
