Tracking storm chances Monday night, scattered rain Tuesday

TODAY: Monday starts with a few showers, but we're mostly dry through the morning, and especially through midday when skies become partly cloudy and dry. Highs reach the upper 70s to near 80°.

TONIGHT: Rain chances return late this evening, likely around to just after sunset as storms fire around 6-8 p.m. The exact location of storm development is uncertain and depends on the location of a stationary front that will wobble north and south over the region today. Isolated strong storms will be capable of producing hail and gusty winds.

EXTENDED: More scattered rainfall is expected on Tuesday, making for a wetter day in general. The best rain in the next two days will likely be in the south on Tuesday, with as much as an inch to two inches of rain possible near I-44. Drier weather is expected Wednesday through Thursday. Highs are expected in the 50s Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs returning to the 60s and 70s later in the week. Some low rain chances are forecast for the weekend, alongside plenty of dry time.
