Mizzou baseball drops ninth straight; gets shut out by Arkansas

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Tigers' losing streak extended to nine games after falling to the Razorbacks, 6-0.

Brady Kehlenbrink was lights out on the mound through the first three innings. The lefty struck out seven of the first nine batters he faced, sitting down the side in both the first and third.

However, Arkansas' pitching was just as good throughout the game. Donovan Jordan secured the team's first hit in the bottom of the third, but couldn't find a way to get home.

In the fourth, the Razorbacks broke open the scoring on a two run homer from Cam Kozeal. They added another trio of runs in the sixth to take a 5-0 lead.

Mizzou's only other hit in the game came on a single in the seventh from Pierre Seals. But once again, Arkansas shut the threat down quickly, and responded with another run of their own, and keeping the Tigers off the scoreboard through all nine innings.

Up Next - Mizzou will try to take the final game of the series against Arkansas on Saturday, April, 25. First pitch for game three is scheduled for 2 p.m.
